An open chemistry book

Chemistry

explained plainly, learned by doing

Every idea here arrives in plain words first. Then you get an interactive you can click, drag and play with. That is how the chemistry sticks, not just the wording.

by Dr. Akash Garg

📘 How the book is laid out. There are 21 chapters in two parts. General Chemistry 1 runs from chapter 1 to chapter 11. General Chemistry 2 runs from chapter 12 to chapter 21. Each chapter has six sections, four or more figures drawn for it, a worked example wherever there is math, a glossary and twelve check-yourself items. Each of the six sections has its own interactive built into the page.
