Delegation Decider

You may delegate a task, but never the accountability for it. Pick a task, decide the lowest level of worker who may legally perform it, then flip the patient from stable to unstable and watch the answer change — because instability collapses every other consideration. Finish by building a delegation instruction that actually meets the five rights.

1 · This patient right now

Pearl. When a question asks what to delegate, first ask whether the patient is stable. An unstable patient collapses every other consideration — the task stays with the RN regardless of how simple it looks.

2 · Pick a task

3 · Three-gate scope check (any unfamiliar task)

Answer all three gates.

Ruling

Choose a task, then decide who may perform it.
