Grading the Dehydrated Child

A child holds a normal blood pressure almost to the point of arrest, so the grade is made from the findings that arrive before the pressure falls. Click each finding on the infant to set what you actually see, and the bench will grade the deficit and calculate the volume that follows — oral rehydration solution at 50 to 100 mL/kg over four hours, or an isotonic bolus at 20 mL/kg. Then check whether a low pressure is really low for that age, and sort the surgical abdomen from ordinary reflux.

Assess the child

Each label steps through mild, moderate and severe when you click it. Set the six findings to match your child.
