Every absorbed nutrient reaches the same villus — and then the road forks. Water-soluble nutrients step into a blood capillary and are marched straight to the liver. Fat that has been rebuilt into a chylomicron is simply too big for that capillary, so it leaves by the lacteal and enters the bloodstream at the neck, hours later, having skipped the liver entirely. Build a meal and watch the split recalculate.
