Skin & Wound Infections: How Deep?

Five infections look different on the surface because they reach different depths of the skin. Depth is what decides how fast you have to act. Pick one, then run the clock and watch it dig down and spread out. Start a drug, or call for surgery, and see what the curve does.

Mark the edge of the redness, note the time, and check again later. A border that keeps marching out is the clearest sign a drug is not working.
